One of our favorite places to visit in East Lothian is the beautiful village of Gullane. Gullane is not only famous for its golf courses - including Muirfield Golf Course - but it also has a beautiful beach & local pubs and cafes to enjoy too.

Our top 5 things to do in Gullane:

• Pack a picnic & walk down to Gullane beach for a play in the sand & waves with the family. If you're lucky you might spot some locals kite surfing in the sea!
• Head to one of the many local pubs for a delicious dinner by the fire. We really like The Old Clubhouse for its local feel & yummy food. Or head to the Bonnie Badger for some delish Scottish cuisine.
• Keep the kids entertained with a trip to Archerfield Walled Garden. Enjoy the beautiful grounds, cafe, shop & kids secret trail.
• For golfing enthusiasts, you must get a round in at the infamous Muirfield Golf Club & enjoy lunch afterwards in the Club House.
• The Old Smiddy Gift Shop in the centre of Gullane is perfect for little gifts for the kids & treats for yourself too!
