Superb idylic location right among the woods and wildlife. A very serene and peaceful retreat. Lots to see locally for the environmentalists with walks among gardens and lochs. Totally recommend it. The owners are really friendly and offer their services when required. I even had a walking stick made for myself which is available on request. We enjoyed the friendly people we met and the air and sea air is much cleaner than the rest of UK. Scotland is the new place to be.

Gem of a find.I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming owners who helped introduce me to the cabin and it's facilities. For a simple accommodation it was a very luxurious stay (from lovely linens and soaps to perfectly designed decoration and artistic touches) with modern facilities - Alexa, airfryer, temp control - and use of a small swimming pool at no extra cost. Guide provided for local walks and links to further afield walks and attractions. Very well located for coast, glens and towns, and the owners had lots of local knowledge. Lovely coffee shop, gallery, craft shop and community bookshop in the local village and SWT wildlife reserves close by (one easily walkable). Fresh eggs to buy were a treat and delicious. Being in a private spot but within the owners' vicinity felt like I had plenty of my own space but also not isolated and could get help or advice if required. Only downside for me was when the second cabin tenants stayed up for a couple of late nights chatting outside, encouraged by the chimenea, and so had to close windows and pop some earplugs in; although that probably proves how peaceful it was the rest of the time! I am very likely to return to this lovely, welcoming hideaway and explore more of the area, too.

I was met by Ian, the host who was very helpful. The cabin is new and was very clean and well equipped with good cooking facilities given the space. Bathroom was very clean with an excellent shower and good Wi-Fi. It's a lovely quiet location with only occasional vehicles passing along the road outside. A great area for walking and cycling with the Cairngorms not too far away, and a forest within a few hundred yards of the cabin.
