Wonderful Scottish Arts and Crafts period home in the Scottish Highlands, in a stunningly special romantic location on Loch Earn.
Perfect for a long holiday or short break with family or friends, a special celebration or even a honeymoon! Or just to enjoy beautiful scenery.
Great for exploring - day trips in all directions.
Easy to reach - 75 mins from Edinburgh.
Lovely year round – in summer, sun and dining on the decking; in winter, walks and warming by the log fire.
Wonderful views always!
The house itself is rather special. Built in 1902 in a Scottish Arts and Crafts style, it is a Listed Building. The house has retained lovely original fireplaces and other features and is furnished mostly in period style, but with all modern comforts.
Enjoy the nostalgia of our old gramophone and "78" records, old magazines and board games, and our collection of Scottish books. In the colder weather light the wood fire. But alongside the nostalgia you'll find all modern comforts like central heating, a well equipped kitchen including a Lacanche cooker, Smart tv and comfortable beds.
Wake up to the views over the loch, have breakfast in the lovely sunny dining room, spot a red squirrel, or a deer, or a bird of prey circling over the loch, and decide how to spend your day....
You can choose to relax and read, or be as energetic as you like. You can feed the ducks at the lochside or even take a dip in the loch. (It's cold though!).
Sit in the garden, or on the deck, or inside - all with wonderful views.
Take a leisurely walk along the Loch Earn Railway Path which is at the top of our garden, or you can climb a Munro.
Relax close to home all day and just soak in the views and the peace, maybe taking a short trip to places within a half hour drive, like the Trossachs, Crieff, Killin or Callendar. Or go a longer day trip - for example, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban, Pitlochry, Loch Lomond, and numerous other loch and mountains are within a 90 minute drive.
We really try to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
The house is not really suitable for (some) young children for reasons of safety and the fragility of some of the features in the house. We're happy to discuss further.

The house is not suitable for people who cannot manage stairs because the bedrooms and bathrooms all require climbing stairs. However, people with mild difficulty would manage. The stairs down to the lower floor are quite wide with bannisters. The lower floor has a bedroom and a bathroom with a walk in shower, and it has direct access to the outside decking.
