Did you know.... The name of our apartment is based on a horsey theme as the Playfair Building (the college’s flagship building) was built on the site of a former riding stables.

The Edinburgh Address Ltd manages bookings on behalf of the Property Owner. The property owner provides the accommodation.

Booking Requirements -
One member of the booking party must be over 25 years. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as proof of address and ID of the lead guest. This is required within 2 days of booking.
We will require the lead guest to sign a copy of our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to vet any booking.

This property is protected by Truvi (previously known as SuperHog), the digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space.
Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself and process a £500 deposit or £35 damage waiver. The damage deposit pre-authorisation will incur a £10 fee. This Truvi verification must be completed two weeks prior to check-in.

Nearby local shops offer convenient access to essential amenities. Further, Edinburgh Fringe Festival's central Underbelly locations George Square and Bristo Square are a 5 minute walk from the property. For corporate guests, business locations such as the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and many office spaces are a 25 minute walk through Edinburgh's leafy Meadows area, or a quick taxi drive away. The Gait is also the perfect location for Edinburgh University, Napier University, Edinburgh College of Art, and Herriot Watt University, for parents visiting their adult children, attending graduations, and helping with the move. Accessibility

There are 4 steps up to the front door from the street level. Once in the property, there are steep stairs down to the lower ground floor level, where 3 of the 4 bedrooms, and both of the full bathrooms, are situated. This property is not suitable for those with limited mobility.

Parking

Finding free spaces in the city centre can be challenging. Here are your options:

The Gait: Limited to 7 spaces on a first-come, first-served basis and reservations aren’t possible. The charge is £20 per day.

Nicolson Square Car Park: Charges £30 for up to 24 hours.

NCP Car Park: To get a discount, download the NCP Park Pass App on your phone. Once you check in at the reception desk, you’ll receive a discount code that will reduce the daily charge to £20 (only applicable to UK devices)

For convenience, you can briefly park your car(s) on the single yellow line outside the hotel for check-in, then move your car to Nicolson Square Car Park or NCP Car Park. We advise against street parking as it incurs a £6 per hour charge.
