As you enter the house there is a cloakroom to the left. The dining/living space is open plan with the kitchen to the left of the back door. Upstairs is the bathroom and bedroom.
Formerly a Georgian schoolhouse, now converted into 3 separate properties. Petite Fleet Cottage is the end house and has private parking directly outside. To the rear of the house is a courtyard garden which is shared with the other two houses. There is a designated (as private as possible, outside space for each cottage with it's own garden furniture and eating space. A BBQ is available for use.

From Stranraer – Turn off the A75 at Gatehouse of Fleet by the Castle and drive up the High Street to the Clock Tower and turn right into Ann Street, we are opposite the Masonic pub.
Charming Pub and Restaurant with surprisingly delicious food and friendly staff. They serve a great range of fresh, locally sourced food and quality Real Ales, beers and Scottish whiskies.
A former textile mill, now a lovely visitor centre, with an interesting museum, a lovely cafe, a bookshop filled with antique books and a gift shop with art from local artists.
A well-preserved ruin of a Scottish tower-house castle, built in the 15th century for the McCullochs. Admire the architectural detail and the superb views of the beautiful Fleet Bay.
A small, sandy beach with breath-taking views. Popular for boating, perfect for walks and picnics. Visitors will find many rock pools which can be exciting to explore. Car park is only a short walk from the beach.
Only reachable by boat, the castle is situated on an island in the middle of the River Dee. A truly magical experience as you reach the small jetty and a brass bell with a rope pull. Ring the bell and the boatman will take you to the castle.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the newly completed Petite Fleet with our Springer Spaniel. The interior design is modern, sleek and stylish whilst giving the perfect balance of homely vibes and practicality. Spotlessly clean , the property left us wanting for nothing but to stay a while longer. The garden to the rear of the house is secure for dogs and would be perfect for a summer bbq. Gatehouse of Fleet offers you good food, good pubs and fanstastic countryside and coastline to explore on a holiday. We will be back and give the Petite Fleet our highest reccomendation.

This was our fourth stay in The Petite Fleet which shows how much we enjoy this fantastic cottage. The location is great, it is very well appointed, immaculate and comfortable. We love the local walking and the art In Kircudbright. There are lots of great food suppliers and places to eat locally.

Wonderful stay at Petite Fleet Cottage in Gatehouse of Fleet. High quality throughout, great attention to detail, extremely clean. Lovely garden area to sit in, superb location opposite the nicest pub in Gatehouse, close to the park and woodland. Plenty of parking, already thinking about when we can return.

Our second year to The Petite Fleet and again we were not disappointed. An ideal setting and excellent for an early morning walk with the dog across the park and by the golf course. Add the Masonic Arms across the road, the Ship Inn by the river, lovely beaches and walks within easy reach, and a luxury base at The Petite Fleet and you have the perfect holiday. Only one very wet day; the rest of the holiday was perfect. Ollie 'de Collie' says thank for the dog biscuits.

This was our third holiday at the The Petite Fleet. The exceptionally high standard had not diminished. Janet was on hand to help restore wi-fi after a lightening strike. We cannot recommend it more highly for comfort, facilities, location and decor.

We have just returned home from a fantastic week staying at the Petite Fleet. The accommodation has everything we needed for a relaxing stay and the location is perfect.

The Petite Fleet is just perfect. It has been renovated to a very high standard. It is stylish, warm, very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It’s on a lovely quiet street, minutes walk away from beautiful woodlands, perfect for long dog walks. Thank you, we hope to return.

A perfect cottage, immaculately clean with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Gatehouse is lovely, near the coast and Galloway Forest plus the Masonic Arms, Scone Kitchen and Crafty Crow….nothing else required!
